The BluEarth-GT AE51 tyre incorporates the basic design and material technology used by the global tyre brand BluEarth from Yokohama to deliver a product that is environmentally friendly, and beneficial for humans and society. Calibrated rigidity with blade image sipes
A "twisted pattern" is moulded, reminiscent of the blade of a famous Japanese sword, to ensure that the ribs are stronger. The inclined sipe increases the uniformity of the contact pressure between the tread and the ground and helps to increase the total volume of edges.
The Five-Position Tread Pattern Variation ensures quietness
Equipped with a unique tread pattern design technology, the adjustment of the position of blocks of five different lengths significantly reduces noise. The BluEarth-GT AE51 thus offers the same level of silence as the traditional BluEarth-A tyres from Yokohama while increasing overall stiffness.
Calibrated with fine grooves in a peripheral direction, the stiffness of the inner shoulder allows for a more comfortable and smoother ride. The outer shoulder rib, on the other hand, acts by increasing stiffness through a blind groove.
The triple highly rigid ribs ensure straight-line stability at high speed.
Positioned at the centre of the tyre, the three wide continuous ribs of the pattern act by increasing peripheral stability, thus resulting in optimal straight-line stability at high speed.
Increased total edge volume, improved grip performance.
While maintaining the tread block's rigidity, the electric-type grooves act by increasing the total volume of the edges, which enhances grip performance by decompressing the part of the edge that evacuates water placed under the tread block.
Dissipates Heat to Increase Fuel Economy
The unique "dimpled shoulder" design on the sides and shoulders helps to dissipate excess heat, thereby improving fuel economy.
